Manics in Newport

Went to see the manics in Newport Center. Stayed in Weatherspoons in the middle of Newport. Had two steaks and a bottle of wine for £29 what a bargain. Great gig although we think someone stole jens tee shirt from her bag. Great gig although not enough hits. We went back to weatherspoons which was now a nightclub. Got a VIP entrance and had a couple of beets then stayed up until 4.00am. We are mental. Suffered the next day though

Zippps Circus

It's bank holiday Monday we should be camping in west wales but scout is still lame so here we are in the circus. I think the outfit is run by a bunch of clowns myself. Had an ace night and day with mark, jack and Frank. Cooked a nice meal and went for a walk to the griffin for a few beers. Had to hide the woodrough bourbon from Tyson it was going down to well. We had to drink it to get rid of the taste of the Kumala. Dick and dell might be popping in later for a beer and to pick up all the stuff that jack left behind.

He's just like a caged animal

Great day today, so hot. Drove back via the coast, stopped off at Saundersfoot and went shopping with Scout. Got myself a great fishing/utility waistcoat/jacket. Perfect for dog walking and camping, everyone is going to love it. Just found another secret pocket, great for 10 fags. Kids on the beach now with Jen, just parked up by a nice pub so going to have lunch there. Didn't take to long to pack up.just threw everything in the Bongo. Bringing two cars was a good idea as we would have struggled with the dog and his crate. Coming back down West Wales in two weeks to a smaller camp site. If anyone fancies it?

Things can't get much better

Well it's day 2 of our stay here in West World, the promised storm hasn't happened (yet). Although we thought the same in 1997 and she arrived at midnight with her family, leaving a trail of devastation all the way to Chaverford West. We visited a few beaches today, although uncle fuzzy had to stay on his lead. So far it's going well Dexter hasn't asked to go home yet and has been a good boy. We are relaxing now with our new Brummie neighbours and preparing ourselves for Wally Vegas World. The only downside is the price £70 a night !!!! The most expensive camp site I have ever been on. That includes passes for the complex and pool, electricity and the mutt .....

Great night at Dave Parkers stag. Tequila sunrise actually happened. Don't know where Tyson got the wood from, buy there was a railtrack beside the campsite. Heading back home now. Campsite OK although I wasn't supposed to sleep in Bongo as it was a camping field. Just slept downstairs for a change. £15 a night.

Lorry driver injured in road crash

Lorry driver injured in road crash

Friday, February 19, 2010, 08:52

A LORRY driver has been taken to hospital following an early-morning crash in Cornwall.

Police and emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision on the A3075 at Rejerrah, near Newquay, at around 5.30am.

The crash between the lorry and Mazda Bongo took place at the side entrance to the Penhale Camp, near to the Perranporth Sand Dunes.

The driver of the 7.5 tonne bread lorry suffered a broken arm in the crash and was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.

The driver of the Mazda, meanwhile, was not injured.

A police spokesman this morning said the road at Goonhavern was closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area until the crash scene was cleared.

He added that there was ice and snow in the area of the crash.

mp3 I have caved

Right this is it A mill stone moment I have always strived to source the CD for music that I like (not happy with copies), and have always avoided MP3 download only and treated it as a flim flam con. But tonight whilst listening to a stream of the new Dreadzone album I was also listening to the new Massive Attack CD which has a version of download only mixes. I then stumbled across a Doves live EP, which is only available on i tunes..... What can you do, you can only fight new technology for a limited amount of time, thankfully CD's are fading out at the same time as my hearing, so I shouldn't notice the difference. The thing is I went through the same anguish with vinyl and never got over it really. What's next?

The Edge of Darkness

Listening to the new neil young archive series .......
Up in London again. Goong to see edge of darkness. I hope it's as good as that TV show on the ?80s. I loved that series. Going to grab a sub on the way back to the hotel. Just read the small print on my half price vouchers (only available in Wales) ;-(

Had to rush to the station today. Jen dropped me in after her night shift. I managed to get the train with a minute to spare. Was on a new train that had tvs on the back of the seats with pre recorded programmes such as BBC documentaries, comedy shows, sport and loads of entertainment. I watched the sopranoes on my iPhone. Was in HMV in Oxford street and saw the whole series for £60 very tempted.

Have to go now films just started.

Not a bad film got quite exciting about 67 minutes in. Also the last
10 minutes were ok. Wouldn't see it again. I enjoyed the advert for
the Grenada zone more ... Can't wait Bourne 4
